In this episode of “Alenwen”, our two main characters, Alenwen and Skaldiv, find themselves in the bustling city of Bree. Alenwen is full of excitement and anticipation as she is eager to buy a new outfit and hear some of the talented musicians in town. Meanwhile, Skaldiv is busy selling her delicious honey.
Together they wander through some of the best shops in Bree, and it seems that Alenwen has found shopping paradise. Her encounter with Lady Nayel, a respected Elf in a local clothing shop, leads to Alenwen buying almost the entire shop empty. Skaldiv can only shake his head and tries to keep Alenwen in check.
But Alenwen still has a few things on her shopping list. She really wants to buy some colours to perfect her style. Skaldiv knows a local colour huckster called Olodriel, who has a penchant for wheeling and dealing and tries to make a profit out of everything. After successfully buying paint, Alenwen has the urge to change her hairstyle too.
The two make their way to a hairdressing salon in the Pony pub. However, Alenwen’s decision to get a new hairstyle takes longer than expected and she chats at length with the hairdresser. During this time, Skaldiv decides to drink a schnapps beer to pass the waiting time. However, the effects of the alcohol and their lack of patience mean that Skaldiv falls asleep in the meantime.
When Skaldiv finally wakes up in a bizarre dream and realises that Alenwen still hasn’t decided on a hairstyle, she is beside herself.
